Preface

I was asked to contribute a keynote speech at the 2026 Christian Engineering Conference, the biennial meeting of the Christian Engineering Society.

Some things to note about the keynote:

• I was introduced by my colleague Jeremy Van Antwerp.
• I affixed blue (backward) and fuchsia (forward) signs to each row. Signs were labeled with “Engineering” or “Mathematical sciences” to indicate seating for audience members.

I created a blog post with some photos from the keynote.
